LAST GASP SAWWS REGIONAL FINALS SHOOT INFORMATON

The SAWWS Last Gasp regional Finals are being hosted in conjunction with the Saskatoon Muzzle Loader Club to promote the sport of Cowboy Action style shooting.  The idea is for shooters of all ages to have fun and excitement in a safe secure manner.  The shoot will be run using the safety rules and guidelines of the Single Action Shooting Society in a manner designed to keep things fair for everyone.  Only shooters registering and shooting all six stages each day will be considered for the Men’s and Ladies Top Gun Awards.

You will be assigned a posse at registration so if you are borrowing guns from another shooter or simply wish to shoot with your friends, husband, wife, son daughter and so on make your wishes known at registration.  Note: Gun leather suitable to safely carry both revolvers is required, no leather, no shooting.  Your posse shooter number and range officer will remain the same on both days in order to facilitate scoring for the Top Gun awards.

For safety reasons and to keep the match moving Range officers are assigned to each posse so please don’t take it personal if you are corrected safety always comes first.  “REMEMBER THE RANGE OFFICERS WORD IS LAW” if you disagree take your protest to the match director.  Arguing on the firing line could result in a stage disqualification a second infraction will mean a match disqualification.

There will be six stages each day and your registration fee will entitle you to shoot all or as few as you choose.  Remember to have your score considered for the Top Gun awards you must shoot all six stages on both days.  Stages will consist of a variation of up to 10 revolver, 10 carbine and 4 shotgun rounds per stage for a total ammunition requirement of 60 revolver, 60 rifle and 24 shotgun rounds per day not including side matches.  Due to range certification restrictions all stages may not include all firearms.

50/50 side matches will be organized and shot at the end of the days shooting if there is interest from the shooters.

Firearms and ammunition must conform to SAWWS rules and guidelines for use at SAWWS sanctioned shooting events.  If you’re not sure if your firearm is safe or allowed just ask a SAWWS representative before you begin shooting.

All prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of day 2 from the registered shooters.  All prizes will be awarded by random draw giving everyone the same chance of taking home a prize.  Our prizes are donated by members or sponsored by individual businesses so you would like to donate to the prize table and/or advertise you business just let us know.  The more the merrier.
