LAST GASP SAWWS REGIONAL FINALS SHOOT INFORMATON
The SAWWS Last Gasp regional Finals are being hosted in conjunction with the Saskatoon Muzzle Loader Club to promote the sport of Cowboy Action style shooting. The idea is for shooters of all ages to have fun and excitement in a safe secure manner. The shoot will be run using the safety rules and guidelines of the Single Action Shooting Society in a manner designed to keep things fair for everyone. Only shooters registering and shooting all six stages each day will be considered for the Men’s and Ladies Top Gun Awards.
You will be assigned a posse
at
registration so if you are borrowing guns from another shooter or
simply wish
to shoot with your friends, husband, wife, son daughter and so on make
your
wishes known at registration. Note: Gun
leather suitable to safely carry both revolvers is required, no
leather, no
shooting. Your posse shooter number and
range officer will remain the same on both days in order to facilitate
scoring
for the Top Gun awards.
For safety reasons and to
keep the match
moving Range officers are assigned to each posse so please don’t take
it
personal if you are corrected safety always comes first.
“REMEMBER THE RANGE OFFICERS WORD IS LAW” if
you disagree take your protest to the match director.
Arguing on the firing line could result in a
stage disqualification a second infraction will mean a match
disqualification.
There will be six stages
each day and
your registration fee will entitle you to shoot all or as few as you
choose. Remember to have your score
considered for the Top Gun awards you must shoot all six stages on both
days. Stages will consist of a variation
of up to 10 revolver, 10 carbine and 4 shotgun rounds per stage for a
total
ammunition requirement of 60 revolver, 60 rifle and 24 shotgun rounds
per day
not including side matches. Due to range
certification restrictions all stages may not include all firearms.
50/50 side matches will be
organized and
shot at the end of the days shooting if there is interest from the
shooters.
Firearms and ammunition must
conform to
SAWWS rules and guidelines for use at SAWWS sanctioned shooting events. If you’re not sure if your firearm is safe or
allowed just ask a SAWWS representative before you begin shooting.
All prizes will be awarded
at the
conclusion of day 2 from the registered shooters. All
prizes
will
be
awarded
by
random draw
giving everyone the same chance of taking home a prize.
Our prizes are donated by members or
sponsored by individual businesses so you would like to donate to the
prize
table and/or advertise you business just let us know.
